Setting out
To form a corner remove the centre ‘v piece’ with a pair of tin snips: the two sections either side can now be bent to form an internal or external corner as required.
Once the corner sections have been put into place, working from the corners, the straight sections of EdgeGuard can be added using the interlocking male/female connections.
Upon reaching the centre of each ‘run’, the EdgeGuard can be cut to length using an angle-grinder, hacksaw etc.
Extra straight/corner connectors are available for runs of less than 1.2m.
Note: make sure you are cutting from the correct end so as not to remove the male connector.
EdgeGuard is usually held in place by the weight of the green roof. If it needs to be secured, we recommend discussing this with the roof membrane supplier as it may invalidate the warranty.
