Timber to steel
Fasten timber to a wide range of steel thicknesses with our countersunk timber to steel range – timber to 1.2-12mm steel covered.

All our timber to steel fasteners come with standard countersunk heads to sit in the timber – for a barely noticeable finish.
With wings behind the drillpoint to drill through timber, our DF3-W and DF12-W range are specially designed for easy and effective installation.
Where can I use these fixings?
Timber to light section
With wings behind the drill point to drill a clearance hole through the timber, our DF3-W fasteners eliminate thread engagement until the fastener drills the light steel metal – no burnt-out fixings
Timber to heavy section
Our DF12-W range is another range with wings behind the drillpoint, breaking off when the fixing comes into contact with the metal substrate. Designed for timber to heavy section steel 4-12mm thick
Timber battens to composite panel/liner tray
For fixing timber battens to composite panels – in tile support and structural tray systems
Timber to light section (up to 2mm thick)
Coated for maximum corrosion resistance, our carbon steel DF2-W fasteners are suited for fixing timber back to thin light steel
Drill Points
Our unique drill point geometry means our range can cover steel thicknesses from 1.2 – 12mm steel, across multiple different fastener ranges and drill points. Optimised steel hardness eliminates failures, giving you a clean, fast drill every time.
DFTB – fixing timber battens to composite panels or liner trays
DF2-W – (Carbon only) – fixing timber to light section steel (up to 2mm)
DF3-W – fixing timber to light section steel (up to 3mm)
DF12-W – fixing timber to heavy section steel (up to 12mm)

Steel Grades
Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is suitable for use in internal or external applications in non-corrosive, non-coastal environments.
All our carbon steel fasteners feature a corrosion-resistant organic coating which provides lubrication for ease of drilling while also preventing damage to the steel.
Stainless Steel A2/304
Our A2/304 Stainless Steel fasteners provide excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in medium risk corrosivity environments, or on projects using Aluminium sheeting or components.
Stainless Steel A4/316
A4/316 Stainless Steel is a super-austenitic alloy containing high levels of molybdenum, nitrogen and nickel – ensuring it is highly resistant to corrosion, tarnishing and stress.
