Mainfix for steel
With drilling capacities to suit a wide range of steel thicknesses, and head styles to match any application; our range of mainfix fasteners are designed with your projects in mind: internal or external environments fixed securely.
Where can I use these fixings?
Capable of drilling 1.2-3mm steel, our DF3 range is suitable for fixing a range of construction materials to light steel.
With drilling capacities of 4-12mm steel, our heavy steel fixings are engineered for maximum thread grip, and deliver the highest level of pull-out performance without damaging the build-up.
8-25mm steel penetrated with ease with our super heavy steel fixings – no need for pre-drilling.
Hex, clip fix and low profile mill finish heads for secr.et fix and through fix applications.
Lacquered low profile fasteners for internal coldstore or data centre applications – available in a wide range of colours.
Low profile or clip fix headed fixings to suit thin steel flashings & trims – once installed, the head lies flat to the sheet surface.
Stainless steel halter fasteners for fixing façade or tophat brackets to steel – preventing galvanic corrosion.
‘Wafer’ or ‘Pancake’ heads sit flat to the steel when installed: our clip fix fasteners are suitable for steel 1.2-12mm thick.
Our DF3-5.5 x 25 but modified with a larger 15mm flange for greater load bearing. DF12-5.5 x 38 with a larger 15mm flange available for heavy steel applications.
Our MFC fasteners have a larger thread diameter at 6.3mm to repair an already pre-drilled sheet – with moulded bi-hex heads able to match a wide variety of colours.
Drill Points
Our unique drill point geometry means our range can cover steel thicknesses from 1.2 – 25mm steel, across multiple different fastener ranges and drill points. Optimised steel hardness eliminates failures, giving you a clean, fast drill every time.

8mm - 25mm – DF25 range
Steel Grades
Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is suitable for use in internal or external applications in non-corrosive, non-coastal environments.
All our carbon steel fasteners feature a corrosion-resistant organic coating which provides lubrication for ease of drilling while also preventing damage to the steel.
Stainless Steel A2/304
Our A2/304 Stainless Steel fasteners provide excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in medium risk corrosivity environments, or on projects using Aluminium sheeting or components.
Stainless Steel A4/316
A4/316 Stainless Steel is a super-austenitic alloy containing high levels of molybdenum, nitrogen and nickel – ensuring it is highly resistant to corrosion, tarnishing and stress.
